31 Days of '81 Horror: Wolf Like Me

Out of all of the monsters from the original batch of Universal horror films, the werewolf has always been the most sympathetic for the pure reason that it is us. When a full moon rises, he exposes our inner demons that manifest themselves outward, be it of a murderous, sexual or basketball playing nature.

Three horror films were released in 1981 that centered around wolves, though only two concern themselves with werewolves. I will cover all three over the next few days. See you tonight, bring your own silver bullets and wolf bane.

How very true, Colonel. The werewolf was always the most sympathetic of those Universal films. He has remained the most tragic of the lot, and in that, he is us. Great point, my friend. Thanks for this and the very kind and generous shout-out.
